I know it's in the name, but this really is a great family restaurant! It has the feel of a small town diner with great food and terrific ambiance. We had a dog with us, so we were allowed to sit outside. We came on a Sunday, and it was packed inside! Lots of cozy booth sitting options though. The only downside to outside was the traffic noise, but that's obviously out of their control. I got the cheeseburger tandoori, and I'm now hooked on them. They also easily took off the tomatoes for me. Our waitress kindly answered all our menu questions and was very helpful in the selection process. The service was slightly slow but understandable considering the amount of people they were serving. I would love to come back here, and it's in a great location -- on Main Street but slightly farther from the main crowds on the street.

I had the Kermit's Melt, a delicious hamburger on rye with swiss. This has been consistently good over the years, cooked to my request tor medium, juicy, and tasty. Service is always fast and servers are friendly and efficient. They know most of the regulars by name. The restaurant recently got a new owner, Katie Ladd, and she and staff have painted and spruced up this favorite local diner. Her dad, Chuck, has cooked there for over 30 years and knows his stuff. Katie cooks some of the time and is backed up on the floor by her sister, Kylie. The other servers are equally great and the restaurant is always clean. Prices are reasonable.

I had a great breakfast while in Bowling Green OH. The food was great. The service was awesome. It was nice sitting with the locals that come in for breakfast. It reminded me of the town I grew up in.

This is a well-loved breakfast institution in Bowling Green--and for good reason! High quality breakfast fare. Loved my country fried steak with delicious home fries, and loved that my bread selection included French toast! My partner got an oatmeal with a side of cinnamon toast. The OJ is not freshly squeezed, but that's about the only con we can think of.

Good small town restaurant, food was good and waitress was very helpful. I definitely will go back for breakfast. I went for lunch and had their special burger. Was like a cowboy burger with BBQ sauce and fried onions. Very big!!

Pretty good for the breakfast and lunch crowds. The food is basic diner fare. The atmosphere is a bit loud with people chatting over their food. The service was good and kept my coffee full.

A Saturday morning find thanks to an impressive average rating on over 1000 reviews. I suggest you plan on a wait because it's a popular spot and frankly, worth any wait. This was my first experience at this impeccable family diner in Bowling Green, Ohio. Our wait time was short but appreciated a few minutes watching food orders delivered to tables as a sneak peek of the menu. Kermit's Family Restaurant Location: 307 S. Main Street, Bowling Green Ohio Menu: www.kermitsbg.com Price: inexpensive Parking: free lot adjacent and behind building. The simple building has great vibes and even greater food. The menu features breakfast, lunch, and dinner and majority of items are under $10. A decent number of vegetarian options are available. The food. Oh, the food. My daughter's comment: 'it's like having your Mom make you breakfast if your Mom went to culinary school' Absolutely agree. We decided to sample the menu and ordered: 2 coffees (good coffee, brewed fresh) 1 pancake - the most surprisingly simple and perfect pancake is griddled until golden brown with a fluffy interior and tastes like a vanilla cake doughnut. 1 French toast - lightly battered, crisp and rich. Perfect with a smear of apple cinnamon jelly or maple syrup. 2 eggs, over-easy - cooked and seasoned perfectly. 1 special of the day: Fiesta Skillet - base of hand-sliced potatoes perfectly seasoned and cooked with chorizo, black beans, corn, peppers, scrambled eggs, cheese, and salsa. Served wIth toast. Service is impeccable. Staff is friendly and efficient. Kitchen is lightning fast and skilled. Dining area is very clean. Tips: 1) plan on a wait. It's worth it! These are seriously good eats and service is remarkable. 2) check out daily special 3) many items available a la carte - this is a great way to try out several items to find favorites Our total order for 2 was just under $20. Everything is well made and perfectly seasoned. Great experience!
